Dead of winter....

Ok so over the winter months when we find ourselves either unwilling or truly unable to get out and do some shooting, what do we photographers do with our time? Well, if we're truly committed, we use this time to study and learn more about the art we love. That being said, I took my love for landscape photography and did my best to try and take it to another level. I did this by trying my hand at HDR or High Dynamic Range post processing. Without getting too much into the nerdy details of how to do it, basically it is a process of merging three or more differently exposed photos into one, thus capturing the entire range of the exposures being used.

That being said, here are a few examples of what I have come up with.... Hope you enjoy!
Ok, so this one is also using selective coloring, which I don't do often, but for some reason, I think it works well with this shot.... and finally, we have the old Chinese Theater in downtown Hollywood, CA. Cool old land mark that I think really popped once the HDR process was applied....

I'm still learning and growing as an artist every day.... and I hope to continue doing so. Looking forward to the 2010 wedding season and actually just shot my first Engagement shoot of the year on Sunday, pics are edited and delivered to the client, so I will get on posting some in the next day or so.

Thanks again for taking the time to check out the blog, hope to hear from some of you real soon!

Wow, it's been a while....

So it looks like I have not posted on my blog since some time in September.... Where did the time go? At any rate, Happy New Year Everyone!

Now my question is, with so many incredible weddings since my last post, where do I start? Hmmmmmm well, lets just throw one out there.... How about Rebecca & Taylor? Sweet!
Gotta love a big old pick up truck over a boring old limo right? Heck yeah, we are in Ohio.... Loved it! Nice work guys....

Another great couple to work with and another fantastic shoot at the always beautiful Genva Lodge.... I love when the entire wedding party is into the shoot as much as I am and you can tell that they are by the images that you get..... Thanks again for having me on your big day!

I promise I will continue posting other weddings I have done since September and there are quite a few of them!

As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out the blog!

Aubrie & Ray Wedding Teaser.....

I am about 3/4 of the way through this wedding and after seeing some of the amazing shots we got on our shoot, I just had to take a break and blog some of them.... I love when people are really into taking photos and these guys truly were.... Thanks again for allowing me the honor to photograph your wedding guys!
The last shot I'm going to leave you with I have been trying to get for quite some time.... It's a controversial shot, but ever growing in popularity and known only as the "Pee Shot" I have been trying to get at least one groomsmen to go the extra mile for this one and totally drop trowel for the shot.... Many have considered with no takers.... Today, I met the right crew for the job.... They all did it I think it was both amazing and hilarious.... Hope you will all agree....
Thanks again for stopping by....

Jen & Todd Wedding.....

Yeah so I am reaaaaaaaaaaaaally lacking in my blog posts lately huh..... Sorry about that, I promise to do better! Been a very busy last few weeks, but it's a good busy! I love what I do....

So Jennifer and Todd got married a couple weeks back in beautiful Chardon, OH.... I love those small little old school towns.... I have actually shot there twice now in the last month or so.... Once for an engagement shoot and then this wedding, so I knew the town well. That being said, lets get into some pictures.... Nothing like a lady in waiting on her wedding day huh.... I loved this shot of Jen trying to see the church filling up with people.... It was beautiful service and the church, St. Mary's of Chardon, was one of the best I have worked with.... Ok, so now to the fun stuff.... We took this show on the road and went downtown!Yeah we pulled out all the stops for this shoot, busted out the pole dance, carved some rails at city hall, jay walked, you name it! When it was all said and done, Jen and Todd were married and happy..... I think this last shot says it all.... I know, maybe a tad too much on the artsy side, but I just love it..... Hope you do as well! Have a great weekend everyone! Off to shoot at the Candlelight Winery tomorrow in Garrettsville, OH for their anniversary and annual Pug Rescue Day. If your in the area and have some time, stop by!

T1 Out!
